If you live in Lake Forest Park, you’ll want to make sure you understand the city services offered in your neighborhood. These include the Reservoir, Sewer service, Fire department, and Zoning. If you have questions, contact the Lake Forest Park City Services. They’re available Monday through Friday.

Reservoir

The Lake Forest Park City Services reservoir provides drinking water for the City of Lake Forest Park. The lake is a 60 million gallon reservoir located between NE 195th Street and Horizon View Park. It is part of the regional drinking water system for the City of Seattle. The reservoir received a floating cover in 2001. The cover was intended to last approximately 20 years. However, increased maintenance was necessary to keep the aging cover functioning properly.

Sewer service

When it comes to sewer service in Lake Forest Park, IL, you have two options. First, you can get a sewer service connection from your City. Then, you can opt for an on-site wastewater system or connect your property to a sanitary sewer system. Both options require a license from the City.

Fire department

The Lake Forest Park City Services fire department responds to emergencies and has a Fire Investigation Unit that investigates fires. This unit responds to fires that cause significant property damage and have suspicious causes. They work closely with the local police department.

Zoning

The City of Lake Forest Park’s Zoning Code governs the use of land within the city. It outlines zoning districts and other development regulations. The City also has nine separate Planned Communities, which are individual development plans for a specific area of land.

Business community

The City of Lake Forest Park has voted to reject the City Services merger, which would merge the Woodinville Fire District and the Northshore Fire District. The city council, local firefighters, and Woodinville Fire District Commissioners oppose the merger, saying it would not improve emergency services, is unsustainable, and would lower wages for firefighters in both departments.

Recreation

The City of Lake Forest Park offers a variety of programs and services for residents. Some of these programs and services include human services, parks and recreation, conservation and recycling, youth leadership training, and public outreach and education. Additionally, residents of Lake Forest Park are eligible for recreation scholarships.
